Four exhibitions across two venues in Jakarta conclude with solid trade participation and business activity across furniture, materials, manufacturing and hardware sectors

interzum jakarta, International Hardware Fair Indonesia (IHF Indonesia), IFMAC WOODMAC and IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne concluded their 2026 editions following a week of industry activity across two venues in Jakarta. interzum jakarta, IHF Indonesia and IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne took place from 24–27 September at NICE PIK 2, while IFMAC WOODMAC ran from 23–26 September at JIExpo Kemayoran. The combined industry week welcomed more than 14,000 visitors and more than 500 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions spanning a combined 35,000 sqm. A shared “1 Access. 4 Exhibitions” pass made it easier for trade visitors to explore all four exhibitions across the two venues, broadening opportunities to discover suppliers, compare solutions and connect with businesses beyond their usual sectors. The four exhibitions formed part of Indonesia Materials, Manufacturing & Furniture Connect (IMMFC), an initiative by Nine Koeln Indonesia, a joint venture between Koelnmesse and Amara Group, together with WAKENI and the support by industry partners ASMINDO, APKINDO, CNFMA, HDII and ISWA.

“What we have seen this year is the value of bringing connected industries closer together. These editions have given us a strong foundation to build on – creating more opportunities between international and Indonesian businesses while connecting different parts of the value chain in a more meaningful way. Our ambition is to build on this momentum and create even greater value for the industries we serve in Indonesia and internationally,” said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director & Regional President Asia-Pacific, Koelnmesse Pte Ltd.

Industry Perspective on the 2026 Editions

Industry support remained an important part of the 2026 editions, bringing local market knowledge and industry perspectives into the wider international exhibition platform. “IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne was never meant to be just an exhibition. It is a meeting point for the whole industry ecosystem, and this edition brought materials, components, hardware and finished furniture together in one place. Competitiveness cannot be built alone, and for our furniture and craft producers, being part of that ecosystem is how Indonesian furniture moves closer to the goal of becoming a furniture and design production hub in Asia,” said Dedy Rochimat, Chairman, ASMINDO.

More Than Sourcing: Ideas, Skills and Industry Insights

The Main, Youth, DIY and IFMAC Stages featured 51 sessions and five workshops, with 94 speakers from seven countries. Discussions addressed issues shaping the industries today, from material innovation, sustainability and design to sourcing, production technology, professional skills and emerging market opportunities.

MADENESS by Playo offered an experiential perspective on material innovation, presented in collaboration with interzum jakarta and IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne. Through Material Atlas Asia, Alterrama and Common Ground, the experience explored alternative and circular materials and their applications in furniture, interiors and the built environment. Alterrama alone featured works by ten material innovators and makers from Indonesia and Malaysia.

“interzum jakarta is a platform of choice because many international and local brands gather here. We can meet one another, observe current interior and furniture trends and, most importantly, build connections,” said June, Marketing Manager, Carta by VIVERE Group.

For IHF Indonesia, practical learning formed part of the exhibition’s hardware, tools, fasteners and home improvement offering. The DIY Class, DIY Fest and DIY Workshop, delivered with ArchLabs and Gamma, added demonstrations and hands-on activities to the visitor experience. “

Being here (at IHF Indonesia) gives us the chance to understand the market first hand – what customers are looking for and how their needs are changing. Those insights are important as we continue developing our products, and at the same time, we are meeting new importers, distributors and potential partners,” said Zhang Hua, CEO, Zhejiang URUS Tools.

IFMAC WOODMAC brought technology into action through live machine demonstrations, supported by technical seminars, AI Expo and Festival Toekang 2026, with participation from associations including ISWA and APKINDO.

“For more than a decade, IFMAC WOODMAC has grown alongside Indonesia’s furniture and woodworking industry. The needs of manufacturers are changing, from how they improve production to the technologies and partners they are looking for. This 13th edition reflects that progress, while the wider industry week gives them a chance to look beyond machinery and connect with other parts of the industry that matter to their business,” said Rini Sumardi, President Director, PT Wahana Page   2/6 Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI).

The 100+ Designers Club added a strong design-community dimension to IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne. Hosted by interior designer Lea A. Aziz, the networking session welcomed more than 150 designers and industry professionals for an exchange of ideas, industry perspectives and new connections. The initiative complemented the expanded hospitality furniture focus of IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne, alongside its established residential and interior offering.

“We see IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne as a platform with exceptional reach. This event is a melting pot of many of the key players in this industry. It is an excellent place to connect with professionals and brands and explore collaborations on upcoming projects,” said Dian Rediari, General Manager, Alessio.

Business Connections Across the Show Floor

Beyond the numbers, the clearest measure of the week was found in the business conversations taking place across the show floors. The Hosted Buyer Programme supported these connections by bringing 50 buyers into direct meetings with exhibitors, alongside business matching and networking opportunities throughout the exhibitions.

“My clients expect pieces that feel considered and one-of-a-kind, so sourcing is never just about catalogues. What I found here, particularly at IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne and interzum jakarta, was a level of craftsmanship and finish I can genuinely bring into high-end residential projects. It’s rare to find that quality concentrated in one place,” said Rica Ishak, Principal Interior Designer, Rica Ishak Studio.

“I run a hardware and tools store, so what I need most is to compare suppliers side by side, not just by browsing a catalogue. At IHF Indonesia, I found new brands I hadn’t worked with before, and talking directly with suppliers about pricing and MOQs made it easy to decide who to bring into my store,” said Vincent, Owner, Toko Jaya Makmur.

Looking Ahead

The 2026 editions provide a strong foundation for the continued development of the exhibitions, reflecting changing market needs and opportunities across the furniture, materials, manufacturing and hardware industries. Looking towards 2027, the focus is on building on the progress made this year and continuing to develop each exhibition in step with its respective industry. The exhibitions will return to Jakarta from 22–25 September 2027.
